Default New player

Hi, my character's name is Aeux and I'm totally new to EQ other than playing a bit on my friends account back in 2000ish. A really nice player hooked me up with a bit of plat and I just hit lvl 5. I'm a bard from freeport and I just crossed the ocean to drop off letters in kelethin for a quest. Unfortunately I died and forgot about where I'd end up. I'm wondering if there's a way to get back there other than the boat, I'd rather avoid taking that long ass trek again if I could. Also, is there a way to change where you spawn after you die? Thanks for any help, I'm having so much fun with the game, but feeling like a total noob haha.

Welcome Aeux. If you need a teleport to get your corpse, head to West Commonlands, type "/who all dial" (without the ") and ask one of them if you can get a port for a corpse run. This is a service they offer, and obviously they don't charge as you haven't got anything to give them [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Also you can "bind" in any city area. In this case it might be a good idea to bind in Greater Faydark (its a big zone but as Kelethin is there you can bind anywhere - near the lifts to the city are popular spots, just ask in /ooc )
