![]() My experience is limited to flash of light, but I'm assuming that other blinds are suffering from the same issue.
How blind is supposed to work: The mob attacks the person with the highest aggro within melee range. If nobody with aggro is within melee range, blind acts as a fear until the mob comes into melee range of an aggro'd player, or the blind wears off. If you blind a mob, then back out of melee range, the mob will NOT chase, but instead will turn to the person with the highest aggro that is still in melee range. How it is working now: Blinded mobs are chasing the person with the highest aggro. Evidence of this: -I blinded a mob immediately after it was pulled, then tried to run out of melee range. It chased me despite others in my group in melee range attacking it. -An enchanter mezzed a mob. I blinded the mob, then broke mez with a melee attack. The mob ran after the enchanter (who was out of melee range) Additionally, I broke a mez after blinding and the mob behaved feared (ran all over the place randomly). All of these observations were on 4/2/11 in Highkeep basement, with a level 26 paladin.

![]() I remember it on live being how it works now on P1999, at least when soloing with a pet as a shaman. It wasn't really useful though because shamans don't have snare and everything runs around willy-nilly.

![]() Something definitely changed without any patch notes. (unless I failed to find it..)
Blind has become virtually useless in groups/raids now. Breaking mezzed mobs after blinding them shouldn't send mobs off running away.

![]() This issue has been reported and discussed before. Rage ensued needlessly.
Blind in melee range: mob attacks the PC. Blind not in melee range: mob runs in randomized directions, not like a fear, but random directions.

![]() Right, and it's broken now so it's NOT working that way... hence the bug report.

![]() No, it works just as he described it. The person with aggro wasn't in melee range, so it ran off.

![]() I'm not sure if this is specific to the area my group was in, or if this happens in general...
But if I were to mez a mob, and our tank paladin BLINDED the mob, and was unsuccessful at fully taking aggro from me, when the mob attempted to come after me, it would take off running. This happened in the basement of Karnor's Castle, and the fleeing mob would go all the way to the right and left courtyards, training. Fairly easy to duplicate this, as it happened quite a few times.
