I never had problems when I first started on here, but I took a bit of a break for the past 9 or so months and now I can't run this SoB on my laptop very well.
I'm having the "working fine...slow motion for ten seconds...working fine....slow motion for ten seconds" issue. AMD Dual Core with Vista. I've used the affinity, the cmd affinity....none of that works. Any ideas?

I had the multicore issue for a while and tried many of the fixes online to no avail.
What worked for me is to run eq using an XP vm with 1 processor and 1G of RAM. I am loading EQ from a shared folder and it runs perfectly now. Try it out - you may be surprised

I had the slow movement problem when I first started but using win eq fixed everything.
Then today I had to do a system restore to a few weeks ago, now eq runs slow constantly. Its like a flipbook. I've tried everything in this thread [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I dont get it.. it used to work and now no matter what I do its slow. big fat fail
