This was about a year ago. I was around level 30 on my first toon in WFP leveling baking. Someone sends me a tell and asks if I can come buff him in the noob area. I did and then went back to the oven. He sends me a tell a little later asking me if I can come back and do it again saying something like, "I found out that with the thorns I can kill so many at once!" I went back to him after I finished what I was doing. While on my way, he got himself killed because he went into the city with his aoe song playing. We laughed about it and I buffed him again. I inspected him and he had nothing on him, just the starting equipment. I gave him a couple small things that I had on me that came from named animals in NK. He asked me how long I had been on the server and if this were my first toon. After a bit of chatting, he tells me to go to the tunnel and meet him at t1. (I didn't even know what t1 meant at the time). He logs in a character there and hands me a Sarnak Battle Shield, Spell: Form of the Hunter (I was a druid), and 5k pp and then says, "This is what you get when you help newbs. Keep doing it." He tells me that the shield will be good for its resists for raiding, though I wasn't there yet. A year or so later and now I'm there and I use it all the time. I will always keep it as a reminder of the generosity that had been shown to me and that people like him exist on this server...even among guilds with notorious reputations.
