I'm positive your formula is wrong because I used a Tantor's Tusk (50/60 2h) in test of tactics on EQ live when Velious was highest expansion. It hit for over 300 per swing, 100% sure. Abacab told me the dmg bonus on that is 49 at level 60. With my formula it comes out to the following:

(255str + 250 piercing)/100 + 49DmgBonus = 302.5 max hit

With your formula it wouldn't break 300.

I also dug this up off the internet so you can probably figure out what the correct dmg formula is off that:

"59 monk during Kunark with Imbued Fighter Staff, 255 str, max 2hb skill, epic atk buff, max hit 221"

Using the formula I posted, the damage with that would be (255str + 252twohandblunt)/100 = 192.66 + dmg bonus = 221

So it would require a damage bonus of 28.34 on a level 59 with 40delay weapon for mine to be correct. I'm not sure if mine is 100% correct, but it looks way closer than yours does.

With your formula it comes out to 164.16 + dmg bonus = 221.

Sorry but no, if this isn't some bullshit caster's paradise server and melee do normal damage, it will look like the following.

(255str / 200 2hs) / 100 = 95.55 + 2h damage bonus

= somewhere around 110-120 max hit with 255str

Yea, I remembered that after I posted. Just use an 8 for that number instead and you get 95.55 + damage bonus of 8 = 103.55 max hit with Mithril 2hander which is still WAY higher than what he posted.

I hope the formula he posted isn't what's actually being used on the server. Even if there was a different formula for max hit used during classic and kunark, the P1999 blue server already is in kunark so it shouldn't be using what he posted.

i played a ranger in classic and did fine. of course I was boxxing a wizard with him, but alot of solo PVP was viable in south ro, mistmoore, and innothule among other zones. I also stacked fire resistance like no tomorrow, i could kill almost any mage except whorella with those fucking stun whip earth pets.
