Miscellaneous: Griffenne blood drop rate

I checked the log files from my characters. I've had 10 bloods drop total on my characters, and all were either from rabid/normal griffennes, or from griffins (the ones in EC/WC). I didn't look at the drop rate, because I wasn't always in range to get the kill message as my pet was killing them. I killed plenty of normal/rabid griffons and griffawns in NK, too, but as best I could tell, none of them dropped the blood.

Project 1999 is not based on balance or "what's right" or "what's logical" or anything like that: Project 1999 is based purely on records of live EQ from 1999-2001.

If you can't find any proof that other griffon variants dropped the blood from back then, it's entirely possible that they didn't, and only started dropping it later on in 2002 (when the devs finally started addressing longstanding tradeskill concerns).

Just a quick check of old Allakhazam comments (the lazy man's Wayback Machine) suggests that's the case, as there aren't any comments from before 2002.
