Not quite, I didn't start playing till 2014, and my join date on my main account was 2010.

The join date is the day you joined the forums, not the day you started playing.

This. The server is very strict on RMT (Real Money Transfers), and boxing characters. You can lose everything in a flash. So make sure you have one butt-in-the-chair-actual-person per character logged in, and trust guildies for transfers in a pinch.

NO, DO NOT try to go around the system by using a vpn or hotspot. Follow the rules submit a petition and wait for the ip exemption.

I recommend using a vpn as well until the exception comes through. Wait times seem to be 3+ months

I understand that. It is just quite the gap between registering a forum account on a very niche-market game (at this point) and getting around to playing said game.

Maybe not mind-boggling, but certainly on the odder side of the spectrum.
