The purpose is that prior to luclin the map feature wasn't in the game, the whole point of this server is to recreate the game as it was classic to velious era.

You could always use printed out maps or another monitor back in the day (granted few ppl had multiple monitors back then), but the map feature wasn't in the game at the time

Yes some changes are needed.

Maps is just QoL and is not needed for the babies, go pay your 15$ to daybreak if you can't play without ingame maps

There was for most players. Remember that back then, most people were on dial-up, and swarm kiting on dial-up got you killed fast.

Now, there certainly were players that had better connections, but they were the minority. Since P99 isn't going to say "lucky player #12345 you get the simulated T1 line" I think the current limit is the most reasonable way to simulate classic.

I highly suggest you re-read the server rules Slonekb05 as you clearly don't know or understand them.

People that are unsure of things and try to gain a better understanding are a good thing. What's wrong with this world is people that assume they can know everything by mere intuition. By your use of the word 'sheeple' I'd assume you belong to the latter.
