ya i come from the godless northeast. no bible thumping or any overtones of 1960's enlightenment here. that stuff one or the other played a big part in parenting. you either carried over some woke or you didn't. parents that were struggling took it out on their kids, regular beatings etc. I remember in 6th-7th grade this kid exposing me to stories of how he was fighting his father etc. (he was held back multiple times, so he was like age 14 and really mature from DNA activation from stress response, voice change physical body, shaving etc in 6th grade) I couldn't imagine anything like that. Just the story of his predicament was traumatic and the physical changes of his body made him a complete fucking freak to me. His body was literally prematurely aging as a response to his predicament. He was misshapen.

then in high school I started realizing its not just 1 kid, its like every other kid. constant fights over god knows what. each day someone would have a story about how they "threw down" on the old man and broke the drywall out in a skirmish. they also all referred to their fathers by first name so it was confusing to figure out what they were talking about at first. I was a quick study tho and seen how to "win the game" by becoming king of the assholes. I fought many other football players over the smallest of things. basically became a gangster and intensely enforced respect. I even beat up my childhood best friend because he wasn't respecting my right to laugh at his -2/10 girlfriend with my posse to his face. then I tried to peace it up with him, not to befriend him, but to bring closure to it. he rejected it and said "not really" so I beat ass again for senior year and the entire school noticed how I was really decking this kid in the hallway on a bi-weekly basis. was p good keks.

huh i never thought about how violent stressors might detwink young bodies before. that's scary. i rolled very lucky in life, george clinton family friend so yeah there was lucky hippie wokening embedded.

That's what I thought as well but I didn't bother/even care to look into it deeper

someone needs to be bullying the goobers at evergreen state. i think the exact opposite extreme is what went wrong in most of their lives. god bless azzar
