I just want to know, is the rooster ok??? He really seemed stressed. As the music built up, he grew more and more anxious that was so funny... but sad! lol
What's the name of this rooster and how old is he?

He's good. What actually happened here is he sees the crows take flight and hears them and that's what he's warning us about. He makes the same noise when we're outside and he spots a hawk in the distance. I started filming him because he got really interested in the scene, and when he did his thing we pretty much died.
His name is Glee(short for Geddy Lee) and he's probably nine or ten months old. He was surrendered to a shelter because people aren't allowed to keep roosters in Denver city limits(we live out in the sticks). Every Spring people buy chicks to keep in their backyards and harvest their eggs but you can't really sex them till they're older, so roosters end up dumped in parks and landfills and wherever. We heard about Glee on the day he was scheduled for euthanasia, so we scooped him up and he became the first resident of our micro-sanctuary. He was very comfortable indoors, perhaps because his previous human kept him inside, so we just decided to move some stuff around and give him my home office.
Since bringing him home we've welcomed two more roosters, five more hens, two pigeons and just yesterday three rats. If you'd like to read more of their stories I've been telling them on
Facebook. We've got our eye on a couple pieces of land up in the mountains where we'll expand to larger animals; horses, cows, sheep, pigs, etc.
Anyway, the video looks like it will hit a million fucking views late tomorrow or early Friday, barring the unforeseen. Looking forward to the day I'm talking to someone about roosters and they say, "Let me show you this video of a rooster watching Harry Potter."
