The movie was great [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Hyperdrive kamikaze was frustrating a bit.
But in the end I'm still a fan, very well done.
Also, I am disappointed at this topic. I was afraid of clicking until I saw the movie to not get any spoilers, and there are like none in the whole thread.

Gotta respect no spoilers.

Also, did this one seem to not have as much hype as 7?

I came out of TLJ thinking it was okay, but didn't have high expectations.
- The action scenes were good, star ship battles and lightsaber battles were the highlight
- I found it really preachy. The SJW pandering was really blatant. The casino bit irked me more. This anti-1% stuff reeks of hypocrisy when Hollywood/Disney and the actors in it ARE the 1%.
- All of Leia's scenes felt surreal to me. Idk what it was but most of the characters just felt really detached from one another
- A lot of new characters. None of the 'good'/'light' side characters were likable or relatable. Only Kylo's arc seemed interesting to me. Rey could have been too but they took her on a journey to nowhere.
- Overall could have been a lot worse. I'd still go see Episode IX because the Star Wars universe is interesting to me

Really fun movie. Plot holes abound but no worse than any of the other SW movies. Mark Hamill was awesome.

3D glasses give me unbelievable eye strain though, I won't do that again.
