the answer i was leading toward is - the absolute mountain of shit top end raiders would dump on the server would be ruinous to staff health and wellbeing. staff are badly outnumbered and outgunned. it's a threat and a credible one.

I say the staff should leave the raid scene alone and lawless for a month, and see how much shit gets downed with the constant training and KS'ing.

This. The real reason people on this server like to hate on the bogeymen 'A/A' is because they need someone to blame for their own inadequacies.To buy into the notion of A/A being the server 'bad guys' is just easier for most people than to accept the fact that the only thing stopping them is themselves. Its refreshing to see CSG managing to team up and down content without crying about how the servers rigged and how A/A stop them from competing, like A/A have any sort of power over the server other than being the competent groups.

Outside of the raid scene there are loads of people from both the guilds that are genuinely lovely people that ive enjoyed leveling and playing with. They play better and are usually more careful about how their actions effect other people because contrary to popular belief the guilds have a strict code of conduct and people are disciplined for shit that reflect poorly on the guilds. People from A/A have to be more careful because any misstep results in suspensions. In-game I'm more worried about random alts from lesser guilds training and shitting up my xp groupage because there are next to no repercussions for their actions.

While your rant is funny I question whether or not you actually play on this server or if you are just a forum troll. I could tell you dozens of cases where aftermath specifically (awakened is better about this actually) trained and or interfered with other guilds on classic planes mobs/dragons/kunark mobs/trash velious stuff. Dude get out from under your rock man they pull shady shit all the time. Their whole gig is to bend the rules as much as possible to try to win but too often they just blatantly disregard the rules and hence get bans like every 2 weeks. Maybe you are a member and that's why you are saying those things, idk.

See what I did there? I attempted to discredit your discussion by presenting the opinion that it was an emotional outburst and as such couldn't be credible.

There's plenty of anecdotal instances of every other guild shitting on another guild in some way or another. Infact i'd question whether you even play here if you seriously think A/A are the devil and that every other gaggle on the server is squeaky clean.

Imagine if the rules allowed a guild to exist that could kill and compete for dragons fairly and honestly without bloated numbers. While having fun and genuinely enjoying the content that has been hand-crafted for this server. A fun guild where people laughed, and brought server peace and relations. It falls on Christmas...when both of these guilds have even more free time than they usually do to wake up at 3:30 am for pixels.
