I would not disable your anti-virus, I would look elsewhere for a safe torrent. Somewhere like EBay, but for Project 1999, like some kind of P-Bay ...

If you find such a site, and the most popular torrent also triggers your anti-virus, then maybe try a different anti-virus program? Personally I wouldn't blindly install anything off the internet without some sort of virus scan.
