Haste clicky just ain't worth staring at an empty screen for hours, especially when you have to wait in line for the priviledge of staring at a screen for hours.

Velious armor in general is a pretty sh!ty proposition. I have full White Lotus from HoT on Tekilya but it came at a cost - 100s of hours in HoT, 10's of thousands of platinum for gems, hours of faction grinding, hours of getting lost in the piece of sh!t that is Sky Shrine, hours grinding in Velks trying to get more gems. The whole thing was fun once but I will never do it again

This camp broke me last year and I had to take 3 months off EQ afterwards. When I came back I deleted my 40 necro so I wouldn't be tempted to go back. And it never dropped.

This experience led me to creating an EQ rule for myself: never camp a rare drop off a rare mob.

The eyepatch of plunder is pretty slick, but that camp is torturous. Your eyes start to play tricks like when the damn boat flips its sternwheel thing.

Pyzjn is also very easy to spawn if you know how to, the GBS just isn't as sought after much these days.

Easy to spawn in terms of technique and level, but the odds of spawning are very low as are the chances of the stone dropping.

Was this quest easier once upon a time? I did it on my paladin probably 4+ years ago and don't remember it being a pain at all. I've heard nothing but horror stories recently though. Maybe the spawn changed?
