you must be a warm body then. I dont know what to tell you maing.

ppl keep blaming a small minority of jerks for ruining red, yet dont deny there is an equal amount of jerks on blue.

Simply just say, red is too hard core for me, i prefer classic eq to EZ server, but I dont want it to be too difficult either.

Both communities have jerks without a doubt; the difference is how they handle them.

If the jerks on Blue try to act like a jerk by training people, KSing, ninja looting etc. then their guild and/or the staff will make them stop. Even in the arena of peak jerk-ishness, ie. the raid scene, everyone adheres to a set of rules that ensures a fair chance for all to participate (which is quite an evolution from the TMO days). If they don't, the other guilds tattle on them and the staff punishes them to ensure they follow the rules in the future.

But on Red you can take your jerkishness to levels that aren't even possible on Blue. And when you do something that makes you far, far more of a jerk, like camping newbie areas so you can kill level 3's with your de-leveled fungi-wearing twink ... the staff won't bat an eye, and at least half the server won't even acknowledge that you did anything wrong.

Obviously the ratio of douchebags to goodfellas is quite different on red than blue, or you wouldn't have a population on blue either.

With such a small number of players on red, you'd think the chances of running into jerks would be far less, yet this doesn't seem to be the case.

There's nothing hard about leveling with a huge XP bonus, and raiding uncontested mobs for phat loots on a server with literally 1/10 the population (at best) that blue has.

Anyone that enjoys grouping with a wide variety of players will and do shun red, that's why no one plays there.

The microcosm of red consists of a very small niche for certain players which is unfortunate for you, someone that obviously wishes more players would try red.
