Mobs don't drop enough plat
Something I've noticed more and more playing on Ragefire lately, and also recalled from classic is that the vast majority of mobs don't drop the same amount of plat they used to on live. Mobs that would routinely drop 3-5pp and 6-7 gold, will drop far less. It's small on an individual scale, but overtime it places additional competitive pressure on specific pp farming spots and changes the macro economics of the game.
This is something of a preliminary post as it's a big topic, but I'll try to throw together some parses of live eq vs the same mobs here, assuming we believe the mechanics of pp dropping haven't changed. | ||

You first have to prove the mechanics of plat dropping haven't changed. Can't just assume it's the same, especially when you look at the current plat inflation on live servers.

Yeah I think trying to compare to live is the wrong way to go. What would likely be more convincing is if you could find some old forum posts from the classic period where people talk about popular mobs and say something like "they drop an 3-5p and 6-7 gold on average." Then it's very clear: mobs in classic dropped 3-5p, while that same mob here only drops 1-2p, so please fix it.
I do hope you can find evidence though, as I would love to see the pressure taken off places like Seafury Island.
