Miscellaneous: gems drop rate in sebilis

The drop rate on gems in sebilis is not on par with what it was on live. During live, in whatever era it was luclin or POP, gem drop rates were nerfed. This nerf is still active on eqemu, including p99... plz revert it back to the way it was. This is especially true for the sepsis scarabs.

The gem drop rate from frogs was generally good, but the gem whores would always flock to the scarabs. The necrosis scarab/sebilite guardian/outzone platform camp was usually the place to exp if you cared about gems also. They had a high drop rate of all gems, and uncommonly dropped diamonds, blue diamonds, and black sapphires.

It was not nerfed during Luclin or PoP. People on Al'kabor (Live server ending at PoP) people pharmed gems from the necrosis camp all the time.

Seems Nilbog already fixed it, although I haven't been to the camp yet.

Out of the say 100 beetles ive slain, (all kinds) I think ive seen 2 black sapphires, no other diamond etc.

Was there briefly as well the other day. I'd say 30 or so scarabs and no drops for nice gems. Sebilite Guardian dropped a diamond though!

Still not looking good, could have swore these beetles dropped BD/Diamond/Black Sap/Crown/Sap Necklace almost 100% of the time, sometimes they have double loot, like double blue diamond or diamond/necklace or 2x BSaph etc. Got to the point it was dropping so much that verant was like, you know what we nerfing this because its just dropping too much.

Will post the patch note if i can find it, but currently it is still not dropping correctly.

Once popular for the constant precious gem drops from the multiple scarabs at this camp (Reason people remember it like this, cos it was a treasure chest of gem camp)

This camp was also where they invented round Robin and Master Looter concept, because people would ninja the beetles before you see it drop to the ground. Fastest non lagging player wins.... Get clicking at 2%

Cannot find exact patch for this, i think patch said something along the lines of fixing multiple zone and thats when they patched the camp but it was after luclin for sure. And i remember everyone saying, shit they gonna nerf the beetles, get those diamond/BD quick and save them because they will jump in value. And they did.
