My monk went from 22-30 in one day (I think it was a 10-12 hour session with only a few small breaks) in LoIO. I don't think I could have done that in a pug in a dungeon. Mainly because LoIO has the mobs spaced well enough where I could just sit on the mountains and chew through Iksar pariahs.

Personally, I would consider a good ole' dungeon crawl...
It's too bad that this doesn't happen in EQ much. It's dungeon camp not crawl 99% of the time. A dungeon that I'm really looking forward to is Crystal Caverns, it was setup well for a group to keep moving.

As a rogue, I have to go where the groups are. I would much rather be in the old world. The mobs have less AC, HP, and hit for less... yet they still drop great loot (plat-wise).

LOIO was always bad exp, people went cause it was outdoors and easy.

Same with Overthere and Dreadlands, although those places aren't as bad exp, you're better off doing an old world dungeon.
LoIO originally had a very good ZEM. It wasn't nerfed until later. Once the ZEM was lowered the zone emptied out in a hurry.

Not always. Some Kunark mobs actually have lower or = hp (I say this after perusing the spawn log at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H1KHU59H and quad kiting testing). Kunark mobs around 10-30 or so seem to actually be weaker than many old world mobs, but that's just my sense of things.

They do hit harder as a rule, though.

do the p99 developers use the same exp ratios as eq mac? I mean they can make the zem whatever they like per zone right?

and if that's the case then maybe the developers should crank up the exp in Kunark as a incentive please

But anyways as a new Iksar I really hope people start grouping at all levels here in Kunark.

I really want to exp right here in Kunark and not go back to the same old classic camp/zones that I have leveled up all my previous toons. That will really be disappointing if everyone just goes back to Orc 1, N. Ro, Oasis, South K, Upper Guk, Mistmore, etc etc etc.... and I have to go there to find groups...

don't be lame guys, Come to Kunark

This right here. Who cares if it's slower xp. People are in such a rush to get 60 just to raid and get bored and quit. I'll take my time.

I have to admit, I might be leveling fairly quickly, but I am doing it in places I never leveled before. I never really did oasis (idk how I managed to skip that), OT in the 20s, and hell, this was the first time I've ever zoned into Warsliks Woods.

I actually had a great experience the other day, I was running around WW waiting for my building of iksar outcasts to respawn so I could kite them down again when I found a dilapidated fort of goblins with a bunch of upper levels laying waste to it. I thought, "wonder whats here that they want?", pulled up the old google and come to find out that one of my Live paladin's instant cast items for a trash buff actually drops from there. I never knew that!

You don't always have to group in the zone with the biggest ZEM. If you want to level in Kunark, go for it. There are plenty of people there grouping.
Pretty much what I do, I know LOIO isn't the best xp spot, but compared to fighting over every stupid mob in FoB... it's faster. Less xp per kill, but less time between getting an actual kill (at least until the overcrowding tapers off some).

With upwards of 80 Iksar (and a few softies working faction/twinks) it can be problematic to even find anything. And I'd imagine the other zones are much like that. Running through DL on my druid it was crowded, while specs in Feerrott (usually overcamped) were wide open. But ya know what? I'm damn bored with specs.. so DL it is.

That's the point of new content lowbie zones, the fun, the change. Let the poopsockers worry about the xp penalty.

LOIO is just full of fun memories. At that level does an exp modifier mean a whole lot? I am going there just because it was fun. Now Overthere....I am trying to find nice words to say since I resolved to stop cursing so much.
