Haven't read this whole thread, but the biggest problem with P99 pvp is levels. If you're as much as just 1 level above someone you're fighting, you'll dominate and resist most of the spells.

Spell resists are the #1 thing that needs to get tweaked hard for Red99, or melees will dominate (again).

I don't think I've lost a duel on P99 as a warrior.

You need to be more informative, what kind of gear are you wearing, what is your MR? What classes have you dueled? A duel doesn't really represent PVP imo. If you are a level 50 warrior old world with the top gear then yes I hope you dominated, and I am not even sure if levels are taken into account during pvp on emu. Can anyone do some testing on this in an arena?

Um, Zek is still a server on live and vztz was around only about 2 years longer than p1999 has been.

Every post on EQ live about the last year relating to zek is how the server is a ghost town. It died because the game scaled horribly in PvP as it progressed primarily because it wasn't initially tuned for PvP.

yea pvp was still booming at 80, had like 4 or 5 top guilds competing still. even after the 85 expac my pk guild would just camp the port in to the new xpac. then it really, really went downhill from there after a huge mass ban sting operation that hit half the server for using the 0 delay ghost hax.

I got banned on SZ for being AFK in a group in PoJ. There is a wizard genie looking dude by the port in up to where the trials area is with the 7th hammer executioner dudes. The wizard mob would chain spawn that stupid Sword pet spell wizards got, and the pet only had like 20hp and was like level 50. I guess you can put 2 and 2 together.

I didn't hack though white knight, though I never said no to accepting no drop trades or being in macro'd grps.

I don't mind playing against hackers so yea it was p bad. It was like the final nail in the coffin for Zek and believe me there were a lot of nails /shrug
