Or you can just do exactly the same thing they do and get the timers and log in to kill the minis. The quest item you're talking about is also extremely rare.
Except that most don't let their lives revolve around monster spawn timers in a 17 year old MMO. That's the whole point. Stop making it so easy for people who can log in at all hours of the day or night to control the spawn timers of highly contested targets.

If we're going with non classic solutions, why not a fun one? Currently. some of the hate mini's can be solo'd by a monk. Why not give them 100k+ HP, let them flurry, rampage, banish, grav flux. charm people etc. You've now eliminated the ability to solo/duo farm them for platinum, and made raiding them a lot more interesting and entertaining.
I would have no problem with that but even with that..if you have set timers you would still have people sitting on spawn points at the exact time they will spawn to control them. They need to be randomized in some way and if possible tie it to the original intent of actually raiding the zone (IMO). Any raid that is clearing the bulk of the zone should have a reasonable chance for catching some of the mini bosses like was intended.

Sweet another thread about suggestions for spawns on p99 that aren't going to get implemented and nobody gives a fuck about.
I will acknowledge that you are probably right that nothing will get implemented but I disagree that nobody gives a fuck. Also, it's not inconceivable that something could change (even if unlikely). Other things have changed here over time for better or worse.

Theses noobs trying to stop my classic immersion xD

As it stands currently most are 16 hour Windows. 3 to 7 day spawns.

Long ago the windows used to be 96 hours.... would of loved to see your post in kunark with the extended Windows. We would get like one sev every two weeks. As it stands now is the best it's been.

Servers timeline is almost done. Once it's done throw a 2 hour respawn on everything. If you want something you should be able to get a group of pals and try for it.

People getting upset that neckbeards are f#cking up their pixel-quest is about the most classic thing I can think of.

EQ is a game of exclusion and superiority

Incorrect! If pixels were freely available to the masses P99 would die and I think the devs know this

This. The lust for pixels is what keeps the wheels turning, if you just start handing them out to any weekend warrior that logs on for 30 minutes the server would dry up faster than a woman in her 40s.

There has to be a neckbeard occupation that keeps the casual shitters in check.

If/when another Blue server goes live after this one finishes the current beta/timeline, what if Blue #2 server was an instanced raid content server, and Blue #1 stays exactly as-is?
Wouldn't that essentially "fix" a lot of current issues?

You just dont understand the life of a norrathian aristocrat. Growing up I attended the best private schools in freeport and spent summer at my family's winery on the shores of Lake Rathe. It was a charmed life, but I'll neer forget the day my father, the viscount of freeport, sat me down and told me our pixel wealth came at a cost. As p99 nobility, it was our sworn duty to maintain the natural order. All those carefree days playing polo on the plains of karana, or sailing our yachts in the ocean of tears, were compensation for the service we provided ensuring the pixel economy remained in balance.

As an outsider all you see is our BiS loot and rare vanity items, but you don't consider the stress and responsibility that comes with ruining the playing experience of others. Ensuring casuals are empty husks, ever striving for those pixels we dangle just beyond their grasp, isn't something we do for ourselves - we do it to protect casuals from knowing what it is like at the top. We can't all be the 1%, and it is cruel to allow a taste of the a pixel filled life you simply cannot understand. Its like when red necks win the lottery, blow all their money, and then say they wished they'd never won all that money because it ruined their lives.

So, your welcome.

combat non-classic adaptations with more precisely emulated classic environments: begin throttling bandwidth to 28.8k and introduce random zone and server crashes.
