you're right, it is difficult to compare statistics on rape. for instance in a civilized country like America, this would have been recorded in rape statistics:

but according to the swedish government, no rape took place here.

you can't compare American stats to under-reported Swedish figures. especially considering how many police no-go zones there are, i would imagine rapes don't get reported in those.
