Is this going to be an issue? If so, how and when.

I am a half elf, I think I put 20 points in CHA and the other 5 into Wis or maybe STA. My thought process was that CHA affects mind control and I had read the druids mind control animals a lot...

I am now level 17 and dont really want to redo those levels again with a druid. my plan is to level a druid and then level a few alts, hopefully in different zones. if the stats are a big issue, then I need to know when I will stop levelling my druid [You must be logged in to view images. Reroll. Seriously. Half elves start with the most awful wisdom. Even when stuffing all points at start into wisdom, they still are gimpy for a LONG time.

If you are dead set on half elf, reroll and stick the points into wisdom... Honestly I suggest making another race.

Humans are only 5 less wisdom than halflings or wood elves despite people always saying they have bad wisdom starting out.

Humans also can worship Tunare which offers many perks like some decent quests later on. Humans get a dragon helm in Velious making them kings of fashionquest.

Halflings level faster and get hide/sneak.

Wood elf females are lavished with gifts from lonely nerds. Wood elf males look prepubescent and retarded.

As you see, all the races have something to offer.

Choose wisely, and put your points into wisdom no matter what race you pick. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If you do reroll, buy as many bone chips as you can. Turning them in to Kaladim is great exp. I've seen people turn in enough to get to 14 in under an hour.

If you want to reroll with better stats, just send me a PM. I'll get you back to 17 or so in a few hours [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It doesn't matter. I put my rogues point in to charisma. No one knows, they just give me better prices in tunnel and are more likely to invite me to groups.

Well... no. Not exactly. Wisdom has diminishing returns compared to mana starting with 200 wisdom. If he still has over 200 wisdom, he's still going to be doing pretty well. If he gets to 255 wisdom, then both druids will have exactly the same size mana pool if we count levels and wisdom alone without considering mana increasing buffs or items. But he'll have 20 more charisma!

The only point to drive home with the OP is whether or not he seriously wants to change and to re-roll, in which case the answer would be do it immediately so that you don't drag it out longer than necessary.

I honestly would have recommended putting the points into stamina over wisdom, anyway, and picking Halfling for the racial sneak perk.

Don't reroll and just make the Druid into a porter and make that FAT cash!

this is why I am asking, since its my first character I had to invest a lot of time into getting to level 17.

I figure I may as well keep going, if anything I should get high enough where I can go farm belts/pads in CB and then I can get a character back up to 15 or so with turn in. This would be very soon, if not already or get high enough level where I can purchase some nice equipment.

Heck, at this point it might make sense to keep going just to get the grp port spells [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
As someone who made a Druid first I would really advise you to farm CB belts, make a new Druid and put 25 points in WIS and level up to 10 or so quickly with the belts. It's going to be very rough for you and you are going to have a hard time if you ever want to quad. Being as it is your first character you aren't going to have enough WIS gear for a while to quad with your current situation.

I suppose the question of whether you want to go on depends on what you want to do with your Druid. Wisdom scales in effect with level. At low levels it has little effect. Don't worry about this at all until level 30+. At high levels (50+) your Half Elf is looking at having, say, perhaps 300 less mana than a Wood Elf druid who did his stats differently. That's about one or two casts of the types of spells people tend to use. It might matter for quadding or acting as a healer in a group; it wouldn't matter much for charming or root-rot type gameplay. It certainly wouldn't make any difference for a port mule.

In so many words, if you really like quadding you might want to re-create him; otherwise just stick it out.

Lumi Staff makes this a non issue.

I would say that's partially true. In reality Lumi only works 45+. It's an insane self PL tool and I jumped from 46 to 51 in the time it took me to get through 45 alone without the staff. However, at 49 you get a higher damage spell 477 instead of 180ish.

Once you get to level 54/55/56 the Lumi Staffs damage is just too small to be effective for 100% of your damage. Some mobs can regen about that much at that time. Then at level 58 you get an 812 damage spell. At some point it became a bagged item that I only pulled out when I needed a little damage to finish off a mob quicker than just with ES vambs.

So yes, lumi staff is insanely overpowered and helpful for druids. However, in my opinion, it really only makes mana obsolete when quadding from levels 46-52.
