I just got rid of the character honestly, not trying to run through DL at level 16 again and not having the spell would bug me more then it should.

When I was waiting for the boat (shuttles) they never came. Waited for 90+ minutes, several times hearing the "departing" message and the shuttles never showed up. Asked in /ooc and was informed that they have been broken for a week or so.

Well poo, that is unfortunate :c I'd still petition for your corpse once it rots though if you need them monies ^^

I'm ok, but thank you for the idea, I'll chalk it up as lesson learned. There is a reason I logged the night before and didn't make the run through DL, had a bad feeling it would end just like it did. My own fault, I really should of probably just ran the wall, longer but probably safer.

I didn't use them last week, when I was trying to see if they were broken I was told they were broken for about a week now.

I've been told they were broken as well. Two days ago I believe. Had a guildy sitting at the docks in BB. He was commenting how he'd sat through two zone emotes about the shuttles leaving soon, but had yet to a single shuttle.

In regards to the run through dreadlands: don't people run along zone walls anymore? SoW, leviatste and invis arrive safely through a level 40+ zone at level 16...

May I offer another solution to the O.P. : give someone who actually knows what they are doing your login info and let them make the run for you. Honestly it's a good thing you are ditching you're enchanter, if you ragequit over this lol

I said I should have run the wall actually, everyone said just run east so I did, I agree my mistake. I didn't rage quit as much as I "clearly this wasn't meant to be" quit. I'm still playing the game. The irony is I was right because as soon as I got past that character and on to another the boat to FV from BB is fixed. That tells me I was right, the EQ Gods didn't want me to play an enchanter. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I main'd a Cleric from launch for six years, I understand rough situations in EQ and dealing with them. Enchanter was easy mode compared to Cleric so ragequit isn't really the right term.

I'd never give my login to anyone. Besides if I did that I'd never learn.

Another thing, I wonder how many people's original path was changed on live everquest with similar stories like this. I know personally I changed characters after dying to an evil eye trying to run through the karanas on my first ever character to join real life friends. Re-rolled evil and that set my path in everquest for years to come.

My first character was a Eruidte Cleric, quickly deleted when I couldn't see a thing at night and changed to a High Elf cleric and never looked back.
