It does but it also creates more complications. People who are entitled feel that it's bullshit because they are "better" than everyone else. People are waiting 2 years to receive that piece of Vulak loot. People will be bottlenecked on Doze and all types of issues. There are typically only two fixes. Instance everything and give everyone a shot or Remove CSR and let the wolves fight it out.
Or people start getting along and instead of 7 guilds that turns into 4 through merges (See guilds already raiding together under different tags). Vyemm is never going to be an easy out for guilds. Even established raid guilds still wipe to him and without a merge a few guilds are never going to get past that mob.

Instancing isn't needed when you create a system everyone can work with. As for folks who feel they deserve more. They have had free reign over that for over a year and a half now. They had their head start to collect all the shiny things. Competition has had it's time in the sun on this server.

The only way the raid scene can be fixed is with another two or three blue servers. Make one of them a rotation server, one of them a rule-lawyer server and one of them a DPS race server. Throw in a token/instance server for good measure.

Can you imagine what a disaster Live would have been if there was only a single server?

FWIW, I think a tier system could prevent a velious rotation from growing too big. If you put Tunare, AOW, Vulak, Dozekar, and Sontalak in one tier for example. I mean, Aftermath has killed Sontalak once and wiped several times and Awakened hasn't even tried.

Killed twice, wiped twice, fwiw.

Funny seeing Raev argue for a tiered rotation with gateway mobs...

Because the precedent you're promoting is a much more dangerous one --- Break the ever living fuck out of every single established raid rule by camping FTErs on Vulak's spawn.. log in on spawn, get a guaranteed 33%-50% of Vulak spawns, concede the next 1-2 and ruin the raid scene entirely. Suddenly there's no more competition, or racing.. Just guilds trying to get the first tracker FTE to guarantee a kill and concede the next one.

Without rules, and punishments for breaking those rules the raid scene will become far worse than current. The rule set at the moment works -- and the punishments are clear for breaking tracker FTE rules. It's not Detoxx, or AM pushing for "as much as possible" - it's the established punishment for the committed action.

You can't rob a bank, go home, count your money and spread it out.. Then when the FBI shows up go "oh, we didn't know. here, you can have 77% of the money back." - Not a chance.
So if the top two guilds killed one conceded one, that would be 50/50 right? My point was to stop pushing for maximum punishments because the precedent is always different depending on what happened, how it happened, who was there.

The analogy was bad because right now if Vulak is the bank, that means AM/Awakened are the bank security/police officers and they report send in their evidence to the judge. If a bank officer was awarded $5000 for stopping a crime, how do you think our system would be? Bunch of false reports and alternate agendas? Check.

Vulak is also easier than some of the other ntov dragons since he can be slowed. You act like it's only 2 guilds racing for vulak every spawn. What ever guild had the 2nd fte message on this vulak is the guild that was directly affected. Conceding the next 2 doesn't guarantee anyone anything, or make the guild directly affected hole again.

Rustle does not currently clear to the VP dragons. It has been discussed and we have spent time clearing while we are there, but I'm sure you're aware of the respawn time that is VP trash. We clear to Velketor and to Trakanon (When it's not contested).

Some people are mixed on it, but the idea behind it is that clearing trash is fun for some and makes for better playing when it comes to other encounters.
