Nostalrius still hasn't given out the code for their server. All the Valkyrie staff has at the moment in hosting the latest incarnation of it is the player character database. They're still having to use their older Elysium / Valkyrie hybrid code server for the players. I know this because I tested out WPE on the server as well as MPQ modified files to give myself a GM name as well as turn doors into torches for the hell of it.

On old Nost and Kronos, WPE will be detected and get you banned the moment you log into the game world from the char select screen because their Warden isn't shit. Valkyrie's version of Nost? Nope. Modify your created packet, save it for upload, and jam on in. Their Warden is nearly disabled due to too many false positives that banned hundreds of people and they didn't know what else to do lol.

Me shitposting on the forums is doing absolutely nothing to keep P99 (the server) alive. If a rival server appeared with identical code but fixed raiding I think its safe to say EASILY 1/2 to 3/4 of P99's playerbase would switch within a couple of months. The P99 forums can be as busy as ever but that makes 0 difference if there's 50 people logging on blue.

If this community would pledge thousands to Brad McQuaid, my guess is that they would give the same to Rogean and Nilbog to fund a reset server. My guess is that it is too much of a hassle for them to manage another one.
