Who says crews can't be made up of nice people.

That is after all how most neighborhood gangs started back in the day. A crew of bigger stronger people to look out and watch over the neighborhood because the cops weren't always there when you needed them, no cell phones to call for help while you run away, etc. It just over time got bastardized into looking out for only themselves.
