End game iksar tanks kick some ass, at least once they get their planar gear. The issue is getting to end game. Their natural AC helps mitigate the problem, but not completely. As others have said, you need to get creative in finding gear. Just use the database and sort for either SK or WAR, and iksar usable. Then look for your stat of choice: AC, HP, STA, STR, INT, whatever you prefer. Then start making choices.

On a side note, if/when dreadscale quests work this topic will be moot for SKs. Dreadscale is every bit as good as darkforge and will take an iksar SK all the way to end game (with strong other slots).
