Classic eq has great art but bad graphics. These days it's more often bad art with good graphics. I have to say I don't put too much weight into their current art asset list. This is a pretty costly and time intensive aspect of game building. If they can deliver fun core game play that is what's most important.

I'm sure a lot of you know a lot more than I do, but I'm so jaded at mmorpg's. I just do not see how they can generate a sub-based game with sufficient numbers to sustain the investment of time/money. Unless they go the Eve route of one server-one gameworld, where is the audience?
Everyone is too spread out these days imho. The D&D model (and that is the model) = significant time investment for players, and there just are not as many neckbeards as there used to be. I would love to be proven wrong, but pay-to-play, microtransactions, and especially, DOTA style games seem to be all the gamers today really want to deal with. Not enough people want to spend 6 months carefully building a High Dwarf Cattle Charmer, or whatever.
