There are certain titles I prefer on a console versus PC.

In FPS games, especially those that have really impressive graphics, your framerate has a marked effect on your performance. It kind of feels like crep when you're getting headshotted by every 13 year old on the server at 8 fps.

I also don't think you can make the "Far Cheaper" argument when we're talking about that tier of game, performance wise. You're looking at around $600-800 for a PC that can get the same performance you can get at 1080 with a $350ish PS4 with more variance in performance between titles on PC for sure.

You've also got some titles that don't make it to PC until 6-8 months later.

PSVR gonna be mad cheaper than oculus too, but I don't know how I feel about VR on a whole just yet.

Real non-plebs don't argue PC master race versus console, we just buy both cause they both have benefits and we're not poors, u no?

Well as someone who plays multiple games on all consoles and PC i will say there are some games that either arent on PC or are on PC but filled with hackers that makes the console versions 100x better. I was PC masterrace for a few years but now i have ps4 and xb1 also because it gives me options. Still not going around outside with a bulky handheld system weighing my pocket down though.

You talk, but you're scared to name the games. I am skeptical that they exist and, especially if people bother cheating, would not be infinitely more fun played at a decent framerate with a mouse instead of 15-30fps with a Fisher-Price babby toy with analog sticks.

It's not about being 'pc master race' it's about 2 gens with very few playable console exclusives, adding support for Twitch but still no support for decent control schemes, and dramatically escalating Jewry. I own consoles from every gen (never owned any form of Xbox though), I'm not some bitter Redditor here I have first hand experience.

Cheaper? That is 100% false.

A PS4 is $399 and with that budget you would be building the most garbage PC ever. A proper PC build is going to run you AT LEAST $6-700 and that's without a monitor.

But a PC does everyone better and more reliably. That's for sure.

I think he might be referencing Overwatch. Which is true. Cheating was rampant on PC.

Correct. The long-term cost MIGHT be comparable (with GPU and CPU upgrades I'm not convinced), but that's even a stretch because new consoles are an unknown variable. Who knows whats coming next.

Disclaimer, my PC is a monster and I own all consoles except a Wii, cuz garbage.

Destiny is a p goog game.

GTA5 more balanced on console and better performance until you get to like $700-800 pc's.

CS is a great game no doubt, but COD series was way more balanced and less hacking on console than it was on PC and it was a decent title at one time (tho I wouldn't touch the series now that it's basically an EA sports franchise, 70 bucks a year to keep playing the same game).

There's not THAT many examples, but it's $350 we're talking. Not like you have to buy a whole nother PC.

Original Wii is straight boss if you hack it up dude, greatest console longevity of all time. Emulation game is strong with just a softmod. Wii U is awful though.

Buying a $150 graphics card every 4 years and having the option to pirate = FAR cheaper and way fewer regret purchases as you can try games out freely. I think it's a bit silly to imply you'd necessarily buy a better CPU because you play games -- most people depend on their computer in some way for their livelihood, their box already should/would have an adequate CPU anyway.

Meh, the EVGA 1080 is like $400 bucks right now. I still have a 970 and I have no idea when the price is going to come down. Depends on what kind of gaming you're doing I suppose but yeah the CPU upgrade is going to be a ways off for most.

Regardless, I want to give Ninetendo my money so I can play Zelda at work.

Embarrassing post. Destiny is awful, GTA is awful, both get holocaust framerates and would be better played with a mouse. CoD you literally have to be lobotomized to even contemplate playing with analog sticks, and I've seen the new PS4 version where you're in the future and its 8 frames per second. Naw.

You can't come up with one example, can you?
