and who are you to know how harsh punishments are? i can assure you that people are not just randomly banned, or their characters deleted ...

only very few people get banned, most only get suspended for their offenses ... you have to do something realy bad to get banned like cheating your ass off ... and tbh, if someone cheated, they knew what they were doing, thus they have to accept the consequences ...

I've never seen the GM's ban someone because they "feel like it," and i've read through the stories of all the banragers I've seen with an open mind. I have no loyalties to the staff here, and im well aware that they make mistakes - I'm just loyal to what seems most evident.

They just don't feel it's their job to take any abuse, whatsoever, from people who 99% of the time do not know what they're talking about. You mouth off, you get the end of Uthgaard's boot. Plus, I figure after a couple years of dealing with those kinds of people, they've realized that just cutting them off early is the best way to handle them; that person is likely just going to keep defecating on the server and its staff.

Instead of melting down and raging on the forums - let's say the person contritely apologizes and requests their account back - my bet is they'd probably give it. If the person doesn't waste their time requesting access again or rages and makes it a giant RNF thread, good riddance.

You don't have to kiss rear end - you just don't give them attitude like you're 12 and pissed that Mommy won't let you go with your friends to see a PG-13 rated movie. That's what most of these guys do - and they expect people to just let it slide.

i do know that a very small percentage of all those ppl banned was unjustified.

is it the gms fault? no, its the fault of those other 99% of assholes being caught who tried to RMT, dupe, or whatever to harm the server

gms are just human beings too and bottom line, we are just a pile of 0 and 1 numbers.

some ppl should start to see P99 not so seriously and just play the game and have fun.

if someone realy gets banned unjustified, there is always the petition forum ... they could petition in a civil manner, and explain why they think the ban was not justified ...

now i dont say this never happens, but the percentage is much lower then 1% ...

that said, the GMs on this server have to put up with alot of crap, every day from unhappy people that leash out on them, rage at them etc. etc. for no appearent reason ...

now you might say "its their job" but it realy is not ... if this was a payed service and the GMs would get cash for sitting there and taking abuse i would agree, but this is a free service, so the GMs dont have to take abuse at all ... still most of them take this abuse on a daily basis and do their volunteer work and help players ...

I have a TON of time invested in my characters. All I need to keep this, is obey the rules and i really dont have much to worry about. Forum rules / And or game rules. You piss off the devs here or there, and your fucked. Rightfully so.

If someone gets banned for whatever the reason (usually they are being fucking dumb), it is their own fault. Sometimes, on a very rare occasion, we get someone on accident or we assume they are more involved in something then what they really are, in which case they PETITION through the correct channels (FORUMS, pming me in game about being suspended pisses me off) and they maturely explain what is going on and being honest, we'll fix it.


Every ban we do has a reason behind it which all members on the staff are made aware of. We simply don't ban someone for the fun of it because nilbog would murder us if we did, and not to mention the fact that we want this community to thrive, not shrivel.

But, If i see a player with the name "fuckyou" or something similar, i generally torture them, kill them, and make them rage-quit before i ban them :/ but that's all in good fun!

Those who bitch the loudest in a public setting basically: (1) broke a rule, knows about it, and is pissed because they were caught, (2) has dedicated alot of time which was thus ruined due to their poor behavior, lost their character they played for 6 months, and now cant accept their consequences and have to try and cause drama to make THEM feel better. (3) was probablly allowed to do anything they wanted as a child, are dumb as shit, and subconsciously believe their parents will call rogean up and get them unbanned.

I do not like the system of punishment used by the staff. I do not like the lack of information once you have been banned. I Was Never talk to me because I was banned or the duration of my punishment. I know this server is free But I am a person not a bot and I ask for respect especially when I am innocent.
