As someone who played a druid main on live and also leveled one here to 35 (mostly for ports) I think I would go enchanter. I do love the flexibility and mobility of druids but I have made a point of trying new classes on P99 that I didn't experience on live. Enchanter being one of them. I have a chanter to 37 and it's a lot of fun.
I don't even play the chanter like most do (I'm not a huge fan of charming unless the group/duo is focused around doing that) but doing challenging dungeons and performing CC to keep things under control is quite fun and a departure from the gameplay of most other MMO classes.
If you do go chanter I would highly advise looking into a program called GINA so you can manage buff timers better. Being a master of your buff/mezz timers will make you a much better chanter and people in your group will love you when they don't ever have to ask for haste or clarity because you refresh things before they ever expire (especially true for haste since it's such a short duration). It also allows you to stagger buffs in a more mana efficient manner that frees up mana/time for more important things like mezz or charm. No more wasting mana to cast haste on yourself just to set a timer for the 2 melee in your group.
