they haven't totally ruled out the possibility, it's just that they currently don't know how to do it.

I was under the impression that they know how to do it, but doing so would be illegal, and so not going to be done.

It would require editing and redistributing files, and that is illegal.

Correct me if I am wrong, but that's what I was led to believe.

hmmmmm well SOD have there own patch system + that game has been pulped and sifted so much the only thing left that resembles EQ is the graphics
if they can get away with it im sure P1999 can
