I am using a Titanium ISO install.

I just signed up on P99 a few days ago and was able to link my eqemulator loginserver accounts without issue. I also had no problem logging in and creating a character on the blue server.

When linking my accounts I did receive one message regarding verifying my loginserver login because I had multiple accounts listed. There was some message about if I could not verify my account it would be approved automatically after 3 days if I remember correctly. I did not have to wait because I was able to verify my eqemulator account.

Yesterday I also create a new loginserver account using P99 and not using eqmulator and was able to login and create a character on this account.

Have you tried logging in from another IP address? If EQ is installed on a laptop this would be the best way to test this out.

Make sure you are not using your forum ID when logging in and you are using the ID listed on the Loginserver accounts page. To verify this click the home link above and on the right there is a link found under "Account System" for "Login Server Accounts". If you have successfully linked your EQEmulator account you should have this message listed under "EQEmulator Link" (You have successfully linked your EQEmulator Account.)

If all else fails try and reinstall of Titanium. I created two backup folders after installing. One folder that contains a clean install of Titanium and another folder after I have deleted the files listed in the guide and pasting in the files from the P99 zip file. This way you do not have to go through the whole process of installing from scratch if something gets mucked up.

I hope I have provided some help here.

Not sure who you're answering to, Baamboozle, but if me, then my answer:

1, I am not tech savvy, so I don't know what you mean about logging in from a different IP address. I don't even know how to change it. EQ is on my desktop.

2, I don't use the forum login, and I don't have an EQEmulator account. I use the server login I created after the forum login. EQ isn't saying I'm giving bad credentials though...it just can't connect.

Some things that were never mentioned in the instructions that are kind of confusing, but may be helpful to anyone how could potentially help:

-I loaded EQ into the automatically-selected folder on the C drive, which would be Program Files (x86) -> Sony -> EverQuest. I've never had problems with games of any age being loaded in there so I didn't think anything of it. If I can't use Titanium from here, I've not run into instructions to do otherwise.

-When I was deleting the appropriate files and extracting the Project1999 files in, for some reason, the [Launch Titanium] file was never there. I had to go back to the zip folder, select it individually, put it on my desktop, and then move it over to the EQ folder alone. I'm not sure if this means other files from the zip folder aren't moving, but I did it twice, and both times I was asked if I wanted to override the existing folders, so obviously something was moving around. Not sure why [Launch Titanium] was excluded until moved on its own.

-I'm running a Win10 machine, sadly. Used to be Win7 but I got screwed into the automatic update after Microsoft changed the code of the update window, such that clicking X would schedule the update to go through, and there was no other way to cancel it. I've seen other folks mention that Win10 has been making their ability to play EQ difficult, but no one yet has had the problem I do. In fact, no one, anywhere on the forum that I can see, has had trouble like I've had (can't connect to server.)

-Folks are saying that they are able to pick which server they log in to, either the blue or red. When I try to log in, I don't get this option at all. I can only put in my credentials, hit Login, and hope the Quickselect option for servers gets me to the list afterwards. It doesn't...it just tells me the connection can't be made, as though I don't have an internet connection. Clearly I do. Back in the day, when Quickselect didn't work, I'd be offered a list of servers to choose from, in case it was just my specific server that was down. I don't get that option now...just a window telling me to check if my internet is still up. I would provide screenshots but anytime I do Print Screen, the thing that I can paste is completely black. The login window I see is small, with what looks like a modern-gen Werewolf on the left. I didn't go through Everquest.exe to run the game and it never prompted or attempted to patch.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Heh, I always seem to have the one problem no one else has ;p

KoltirasRip,

Here is what I would do. I would reinstall EQ directly to the C drive. I am using Windows 10 64 bit and installed to the same location as you did without an issue. However, I came across a post that mentioned some people were running into issues with file permissions. My Sony directory had the Administrator group listed with full access yet my user account that is in the administrator group still did not have full access. I manually added my account to the security section for the Sony folder with full access. The system went through and updated all the files and folders with this access. This was not a showstopper for me. I was able to login and play before this change. I only point this out because the post I came across recommended with Windows 10 to install to C:\ and this will resolve any file permission issues.

If you want to try and add your user to the Sony folder before trying a fresh install to root of C, here what you do.
  1. Navigate to C:\Programs Files (86)\ and right click on the Sony folder and select "Properties".
  2. Select the "Security" tab
  3. Select "Edit"
  4. Select "Add"
  5. Enter your user Windows ID in the box and then select the "Check Names" button. Your ID you entered should change to ComputerName\UserID If it does not then you are not providing the correct Windows ID
  6. Select the "OK" button
  7. Select the newly added user from the "Group or Object" box and then check off "Full Access" in the box below.

This should update your Windows User ID with full access. I would then recopy the files from the zip file and see if that resolves your issue logging in. If it does not I would then do a fresh install to the root of C:\

Report back and let me know how it went. I was also wondering how you installed Titanium? Do you have the original discs or did you download the ISO files for the net? I have included screenshots below of the login screen as well as the server select screen so you will know what to expect.
