Frostwrath - open ToV raid ?

I don't understand why this weapon is all that. OK, it has a nice ratio and DD proc. If you are trying to make the parse as a sword and board knight, you are doing it wrong anyway.

The only things that should matter on a Paladin 1H are AC and HP, and Frostwrath is quite mediocre there (20AC and no HP). I'd take the 40AC Telkorenar sword over it any day, or even something like Cekenar's Claw (15AC 100 HP) which rots half the time I bet.

4 or 5 of our hybrids have that Vulak axe now because awhile back he wouldn't stop dropping it.

There is a strange amount of hybrid weapons in Velious.

Frostwrath is the best ratio 1handed sword I think Knights can get their paws on

it provides solid +mana and has AC as a nice bonus but people use it for the uber ratio and damage proc

you arnt gonna turn into a dragon slaying dps superstar but if you arnt tanking, this is the weapon to use

when tanking I agree with Raev, there are much better options, the issue is that Knights are rarely tanking on raids so they might as well do as much damage as they can

If you're trying to make the parse with a 2hander, you're doing it even more wrong.
Frostwrath best dps wise, easily. Wrong class for that, sure, but still a good thing to have in your bag.

Are you really saying that Frostwrath beats out Palladius' Axe, or even Rocksmasher? I've never parsed knight weapons, so I could be wrong, but that would be shocking to me.

Anyone actually parse these weapons, or comparable like great spear, lance o' thunder vs something like dawncaller or FW? I'm really curious about this as well. Haven't had the opportunity to test high end 1h vs 2h myself.

When fighting deep red con mobs with huge AC, all you see using a 2hander is miss and minimum hit.
You're way better off using a fast 1hander since you get more chances, and the minimum hits you see are almost same as the 2handers.

Might change when 2hander buff comes along, but currently I just don't see 2handers being worth it at all.
