Kelethin hands down! Spent my entire first session of EQ lost in the tree tops talking to other newbies. On Solusek Ro, Greater Faydark was the trade hub. I miss the hustle and bustle of that forest to this day.

My very first character was a human wizard in Qeynos. I got him to like level 2 and then figured that this game was awfully poorly programmed as I couldn't see shit (was during the night time) and almost gave up on EQ.
