Honestly working at a waste treatment plant is a big deal and a respectable job considering the investment of state funds and the welfare of such a large population. Generally you need at least a associates to get hired there.

Clearing blockages is a BIG deal with how much the pipe costs, what kind of blockage, where is it going from here? what is it made of? There is a lot going on there.

Even just inspecting pipes is something you would have a background in engineering for.
