Yea, it is pretty frustrating. And it was around for awhile on live, so who knows when it will be fixed.

Mages banishing pets before death will help, but with some mobs, where the mages die to summons, it will be too fast for them to banish pet.

The lack of response on the mob corpses disturbs me, really. It would seem pretty cut and dry that the bug requires reimbursement, but there has been no reply whatsoever afaik.

Don't feel too bad. We haven't been able to get a respawning Spiroc lord in months and we never get reimbursed for our time planning the day around it.

I read somewhere that this had happened to people in Live, and that the problem was someone in the raid had some minute agro on the Guardian. The raid camped out to clear agro and Spiroc Lord repopped.

I think what's been happening is that whenever two lords are up and we petition to get rid of one, the wrong one is death touched... in other words the one that WOULD have re-spawned. This of course, is pure speculation as I have no idea how the encounter is coded.

That is an interesting theory however and worth at least testing next time this happens.
