They might as well have done a referendum, asking people "should everyone get 10.000$ / month?"
"350.000.000 / week towards the NHS!" "free Porsche for everyone!" "AoNs for all!" This is exactly why stupid politicians are far bigger danger then the things they claim their voters should fear. Unsure what events in recent history came remotely close to this, when it comes to damaging the UK's economy.

Now, on to your ridiculous straw man. It would require a great deal of empirical work to actually prove bias in the media, so if you choose to disagree with me I can't throw down numbers. The reality is that humans are very susceptible to persuasion. The writer can omit facts or use any number of psychological techniques. Let me give you a few examples: 1. Think back to the very article we discussed. The title was effectively 'UKIP wants to hold EU citizens hostage', a ridiculous stretch from the actual quote. You read said title, applied confirmation bias (like we all do), and concluded that the UKIP was the second coming of the Nazi party. 2. The night before the California primary, the Associated Press ran an article that Hillary Clinton had won the Democratic nomination. This was extremely dubious because they counted her superdelegates (who won't actually vote until the convention, and can change their mind). They ran the article because Sanders was primed to make a great showing in California, and HRC is the bankers 'we want to continue pillaging the country' candidate. 3. Google for '500 euro bill'. It's about to be taken out because the central bankers claim that it's being used by crime syndicates. Reality: bankers can't implement negative interest rates on cash, and since all governments are already bankrupt from socialist welfare programs, they are going to need to dip into your bank account sooner rather than later, and they can't do that if it's a bunch of bills in the mattress. Oh, and just as a kicker: 4. Anthropogenic global warming *is not science*. We know the earth is getting warmer, although it's stopped for the past 20 years or so, the question is why. This can't be answered scientifically, because there is no control group. So all we have is a bunch of computer simulations of a chaotic system (i.e. a system that is theoretically difficult to simulate) that we don't understand completely by people whose funding is controlled by socialists who want to use global warming as an excuse for big government. Amazingly, their results come back indicating disaster. Even so, as an environmentalist I'd rather not take chances and move towards more renewable energy, but the reality is that most greenhouse gases come from China and the third world, so there isn't much point in doing anything.

When discussing the rights of the majority vs a minority, you do not compare simple percentages, this is now how it works. Which is a good thing, because I'm sure we can all think of many aspects in our lives in which we are a minority (having a big savings account, driving a sports car, drinking / smoking / eating unhealthy, posting dumb shit on forums,..) Do you think all those privileges / habits should be voted on? Because it would easy to find a majority vote to take those away from all that enjoy them. First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. I think this relates to the government form people like you would cultivate without a thought.

I did not read the rest of your post, nor do I feel you warrant any further discussion on a serious level. I can't imagine how stupid you are. You rustled me, so if you a troll, well done. You think they would take 500€ bills out of circulation, because people won't have 5x as much space to store them, while gold / diamonds and others are still widely available? Dear god, it hurts me to think people like you get a vote. Not that I would want to take it away, its just painful to write it out like this.
