i enjoyed the Vice NKorea vid, that was my introduction to vice and it made a good impression. I made it through a couple more before I got to the one linked above. vice uses a lot of freelance and independent contractors to create content for them. they still have a lot of good pieces.

you can shoot your own stuff and sell a story to vice, its not exactly the same business model as CNN and your big mega networks. they use indy journalist driven content, sometimes the editors of Vice don't know the full content they are buying from the journalist.

the truck stop is a good example of that id say.
