Ogres used to be smarter. Provably remnants of whatever was there prior.

Oggok was formed after they got cursed. Think the last war ogres fought was in Faydwer, then they retreated to the swamps and named the new city "revenge" with plans to rise again, but future generations kept getting dumber as they were born and this is what they are now.
