Are enchanters bad in PVP?

a good chanter is hard 2 come by but they out there, throw a chanter in with some heavy hitters and it's dangerous place 2 be 4 an enemy.

chanters are the bane of bards.

What is this chanters name? I only remember one and I was in lower guk when he chain mez / nuked me on my bard (didn't have pots). And I raged a little..
