Note, I've never played Darkfall but from what I gather it's a very pvp orientated game with item loot.

Darkfall was ruined twice over by the devs. It's a dead game and the "new" version is just a re-booting of the old servers with some new things added. They quite simply have the worst developers in video game history and they single-handedly ruined the game.
