Figured that whips were my best bet, although the root sword from guk is interesting. But I believe the drop rate is pretty horrible.

I'm mainly curious about kunark though. Is there anything that is going to be there that would fit the bill? Or should I keep a stock of whips around well into Velious?

Oh, and to clarify about how "common" of drops they need to be in my opinion. I don't mind camping 1 named for 1 weap as long as the weap isn't lore and isn't insanely rare. I wouldn't mind camping a named for a 5 hours if I would get at least 2 weaps in that time frame.
stun whips are always better [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yeah, lore weapons are not really an option. I don't want to have to farm one every time I want or need some pet weaps. Or have to have 5 million alts to store one weap per alt. That would just be way too much work.

And does anyone know of any kunark pet weaps? Haven't heard much about kunark items yet.

TONS of them, more than you could possibly imagine or list here.

Serrated Bone Dirks = snare! I usually buy them for 40-50p a pop.

Also yeah I've got about 40 stun whips stockpiled for Kunark.

I had forgotten about the dirks. But lower guk is pretty full much of the time. Figure when kunark hits it might be easier to farm up. If I remember right, snare is really important in kunark (at least seb) because things run often, pet root isn't 100% reliable and mages don't have any other way to stop a runner. Currently I use nukes and/or just let pet chase em down. Since mage pets don't necessarily scale with the increased mob HP, might be important to have snare.

Yes!! Shaman pets will proc the gnoll hide lariat stun... I always carry two or three with me.

Keep in mind that it starts procing at 25, so if you give one to a 34th level pet, make sure it cons dark blue.

Also if your pet is already dual wielding it's not always necessary to give the pet 2 whips... SBD is a good offhand option if you an get the camp as it drops regularly enough.

If you want something that's as easy to get as the whip just use Dagger of Dropping in the offhand. It procs weaken which doesn't do too much in the way of getting the mob to drop quicker but if it's agro that you are looking for it certainly doesn't hurt. Besides the fact that the dagger is more or less worthless to players as well as vendors and drops in the same zone.

Dagger of Dropping is a kind of last resort kind of thing. The effect doesn't seem to do too much in the way of making a fight easier. Might be worth it for long fights where the drop in STR/AC would matter more, but I'm not anticipating massively long fights.

I might head over to lower guk for the dirk sometime this week if I get enough time to log on. Getting a bit sick of the paw (Although I do have 30 whips saved now). Haven't ever spent much time in guk so would be worthwhile to check it out.

As for kunark weaps, it seems that no one has done the research (or can remember any good ones offhand). If work today is as slow as it looks like it might be, I might spend some time digging through the drops in alla to see if I can find anything. Will post here if I find anything useful.
