True. Everyone being able to see everyone would avoid SOME guild confrontations. |

![]() Where's your spirit of mystery, of the unknown consequences that you might encounter? If you could sit in EC and /who your way into figuring something to do, you would never get anything done because
a.) ah crap, there's 18 people in solb, no doubt every possible camp is taken by a full group. b.) damnit, there's like 10 50's in lower guk, everything is camped and being farmed i'm sure. c.) Oh wow, there's x amount of people in xxx zone, why would i bother making that trip? d.) etc etc The point is, you would sit on your ass in EC and be pessimistic about every possible scenario, because you would know exactly how many people, at what levels, are in any particular zone, at any time. That simply sounds foolish and boring. Have a little adventure, take some risks, or rely on the information of other people (maybe that level 20 in the zone that you want to head to) when inquiring about who might be camping what. Asking for help/a simple camp check from a lowbie in a random zone can actually lead to a friendly conversation! TL;DR /role, /anon saves fun; no /role, /anon kills fun!

![]() /anon is the worst thing. Why does your level 30 rogue ass need to have an anon tag up? I guess I can understand if you play a wizard/druid/cleric and get annoyed easily, but most people with anon/role enabled have no business doing so and have certainly missed out on opportunities because of it.

![]() I go /role because I like the purple name and on live I was a druid for years and got used to it.

![]() My personal favorite is the /anon's that also have /LFG on.

![]() I don't see the point of going /anon. Is it to hide your guild tag? Because anyone can go /guildst <target> and see that anyways. I can understand certain classes going /role if they don't have the time to buff/rez people but other than that I just don't get it.

![]() I understand 'hiding' from the masses if you play a cleric, druid, enchanter or wizard.
The amount of tells you could get from people across the world, it's crazy. Using /role or /anon to signify that you are closed for business. I recall on live you'd do a / all lfg and 90% of the results were 'ANONYMOUS LFG'. It made no sense. For a while you HAD to be /anon or role on Live cause of all the spammers. There are specific and legitimate uses for it. Hiding your raid presence is meh. It should stay in.
