Greetings All,

Made an account a couple years ago at the request of friends and never really got into it as I travel for work and it makes it difficult sometimes. Anyways, here I am, back to try again. I've decided I want to try red out as I've always liked PVP and I always read that blue's inflation is crazy at the moment.

I'm curious as thoughts of what to play as first character on server. I would like to play a melee class, but I figure due to not having any platinum and due to my sometimes limited playtime I wonder if a Druid would be better to make some money and quickly travel as needed. Any suggestions are appreciated and encouraged.

Finally, I have just one question I can really think of at the time that I couldn't find the answer to reading anywhere else. If I get killed by another player, can they loot everything I'm wearing or just my money?

Going to Houston for nephew's birthday this weekend or would gladly try to join in for some exp. I could maybe try a wizard. Never really crossed my mind to play one and not sure how good I would be on one, but maybe worth a shot.

my druid is probably my most useful character i've rolled, and it took me less than a week to hit 50+ (parked him at twink levels instead of going for 60) when i was brand new to red wearing leather armor and a cracked staff. it's a universally good idea for a new player to play a druid/ench/etc before rolling the class they actually want to play because of how quick EXP on red is and how useful those classes are to have at your disposal even if they're stripped and naked. all the best classes like monk and rogue are a lot more fun to level with some gear and plat to start out, and being able to port group members you find off global chat will legit save you just as much time as rolling the druid or wiz to 50+ will take in the first place.

My first toon on Red was a Druid--I recommend it. Never played a Druid back in the day, but really enjoyed it. Groups are a game changer in Red with the XP bonus... so it was nice being able to be mobile and find the hotspots (population is a little low, so you gotta travel for groupage).

Once you hit 50s you can farm plat and really have some fun with a melee. I think you made a great choice, and have fun. Red is an awesome server. Some weirdos but they add to the flavor.

my first 4 characters on red were halfling druids with the same face. I used them to snare bards kiting in NK, when red wasnt full of pussy mother fuckers.

where you the guy I killed 3times and then he logged off never to recover corpses? And to answer your question late game died with empire. I will not be playing any chars over 30 from now to the end.
