This was talked about a while back. Using an exemption to quickly switch between characters is not legal.

However, people have been suspended in the past for abusing an IP exemption to get an advantage while swapping characters (tracker -> COH/puller/tagger/whatever), so I wouldn't recommend it.

My brother and I have played since beta, and have never once been checked for boxing. No questions from GMs, no tests to out us as a box combo.

We've done shit like have my bard autofollow his monk with healing song and still never gotten asked by GM's if we were two separate people.

Might just be that we've played here so long that we're on some kind of whitelist and they just don't bother.

Just because you havent seen a GM doesnt mean they werent there observing you. Just because they got a complaint about boxing doesnt mean they are going to let you know about it. GM's have stated many times they watch people before going through the boxing test.

You won't even necessarily know you're being tested when you're being tested.

Legally you can't 2box but a lot of people do it. I'm sure a lot get banned but most people don't. You will see a ton of people AFK at EC tunnel and they are most likely playing another character somewhere else. People also do things like farming separate places at the same time on 2 different characters. It is all just common sense, if it is obvious you are 2 boxxing you will be banned. If you get away with it you get away with it, just like anything else that is against the rules. If your characters are interacting with each other or just logging in for a couple seconds at a time there is a good chance you are doing something shady.
