I am currently fleet commanding a small rag tag bunch of BLACKS (Minmatar Militia) against the zerg (Amarr.) So far we have liberated 2 systems with another soon to fall.

it really does take a mentor to teach you how to be good at the different aspects of this game. Figuring it out for yourself can take a year versus a few weeks.

ye to prove some guys wrong, i made a trial account and only played that for 2 weeks. no money or help was provided from my main.

i ended up with a good amount of kills and i almost made enough ISK (in game money) to actually pay for the sub (EvE has PLEX which is similiar to KRONOS on EQ Live.)

If i had no life, I definitely would have made enough ISK to play for free. Don't think you can't just start this game and start dunking nerds.

I'm definitely very interested in this game, but it was pretty overwhelming the last time I tried it. Care to run down the basics real quick?

I did a lot of scavenging? or hacking? stuff help me out here? I don't remember the name of it.

I used a stealth ship that took research time to unlock that began with an H (hellion, Helix?)and would go to very dangerous systems to try to get big scores. I got instantly destroyed so many times because I knew nothing about the game and what areas were good to navigate and avoid trouble. Or how to best avoid trouble.

It was really fun though, you get a huge rush when the pixel piñata explodes and you have to scramble to grab the items, check your haul and see huge $$$ stuff.
