The tainted aquagoblin and corrupted shaman

First off, holy shit this camp sucks. Underwater, dealing with chain casters that have bows and arrows as well, not fun. Wiki has the tainted spawning in only two of three spots with deepwater goblins being the PH. However, there are other deepwater goblins around the tower, can anyone confirm if they've had the tainted pop in one of those spots as well? Because honestly killing for 6+ hours and only having 1 tainted pop (corrupted has < 50% chance of popping from tainted) doesn't seem right!

Spent 5 or 6 hours at this camp yesterday, did not see 1 tainted. RNG won this time

Did you take out all the gobos around the tower too?

I have completed the Druid Epic Quest three times on the Red server. I popped all three of my tainted from the two mentioned in the top of the tower. My tainted popped the corrupted each time, I spent less than 10 hours total at the camp for all three.

My strategy was to simply harmony pull one of the goblins with a snare, and then quickly swim up to the surface and run onto the island that the cave is under. I then usually had to wait ~10 seconds for the goblin to catch up and from there it was easy to kill him.
It probably took a bit longer than it might have if I just killed them in the water, but it saved me some headaches.

If you killed a tainted, and a corrupted did not spawn, I believe that to be a bug that must have been the side effect of some recent patch.

I have done this as recently as V38 (not very recently)

Had 2 tainted spawns in a row this morning, no corrupted though. I'm sure it's just bad luck.

This seems like a bug, although I have no real evidence to prove it.

I'm fairly sure that a corrupted is supposed to be a guaranteed spawn upon killing the tainted.

(from experience of doing this quest)

No, just killing the 3 in the top of the tower

Well was typing a response to this then heard something hitting me in game...went back over to find tainted hitting me..he spawned corrupted. Couldn't kill him on my 51 twinked monk...had to just nuke the crap outa him on my 54 druid, but he got me low hp at one point. What i was going to say before this was that between me and another guy we've seen 5 tainted over many hours of camping and no corrupted...so that was 6th tainted between us and popped corrupted.

This sounds like it is behaving correctly to me.

Incorrect, the aqua goblin tainted does not guarantee corrupted spawn. The tainted barracuda is the same way. The rest are guaranteed to spawn.
