I thought it was fitting. Pre-nerf Jaime
was pretty hot headed and stupid, and probably would have gone to town on the HS and his goons. However, his character seems to have grown a lot since then, and he also knows he is much less capable than he was before.
I think what we saw was him slipping back into his old ways a bit before eventually thinking better of it and backing down.
