how do you fix the bug where the client window is off screen

i've had this issue before and a quick search and skim of the FAQ didn't find the solution, so i apologize for asking something that has certainly already been answered but...

running the game on my laptop i saw that my files were not up to date so i downloaded and patched, then when i ran the client it opened, but to the left of my screen, entirely off screen so i am unable to drag it to a place that i'm able to interact with it.

Shift right click the icon in the taskbar, click move, then use the arrow keys to move the window back in place. Had this happen to me...
